USA Salt Lake Eggs Mix with Aquarium Salt
Aquarium Salt mixed with Imported USA Salt Lake Eggs
Beware of others using cheap cooking salt which is not safe for aquariums!
Freshly Hatched Baby Brine Shrimp once hatched is perfect for picky eaters or smaller fry or even just for a treat. All fish love these
These are the eggs and salt we use ourselves so you can be sure of the quality and freshness. Easy to hatch, watch your fish them go crazy for this :)
Use with our DIY hatching kit (also in our shop) to get great consistant results with ease
Our mix has a higher concentration of eggs so aeration is highly recommended for good hatch rates (We regularly see >95 hatch rates even with a high amount of eggs)
Using aquarium safe salt. Our mix maybe a little more expensive compared to others but we know others use cooking salt to keep costs down and whilst this works the hatched shrimp dont last very long and the water isn't aquairum safe making filtering a must.
This mix enables baby brine shrimp that are hatched in aquarium safe, salted water, This is fine to pour directly into your tank once hatched assuming a good tank maintenance regime. The salt will help protect your fish from infections and promote healing of poorly fish.
You can of course filter the brine shrimp out and feed without the supplied water if this is preferred.
Mix 1 level teaspoons (Approx 5g) with 500ml of AGED tap water. Leave it to bubble away for 24hrs and then checkout your results. The mix will happily bubble away for 2-3 days allowing even the most stubborn eggs to hatch.
For best results harvest every 24hrs
Kept in the fridge the eggs will last months (buy a larger amount :) and keep some in the freezer for even better value. Ensure mix isn't frozen when using as this will reduce hatch rates) each hatched batch will be good for around a week. After this time the fish will still love them but they will have absorbed their yolk sacks and the nutritional value will be less.
